Density-matrix renormalization group methods for momentum- and frequency-resolved dynamical correlation functions

چکیده
Several density-matrix renormalization group methods have been proposed to compute the momentumand frequency-resolved dynamical correlation functions of low-dimensional strongly correlated systems. The most relevant approaches are discussed in this contribution. Their applications in various studies of quasi-one-dimensional strongly correlated systems (spin chains, itinerant electron systems, electron-phonon systems) are reviewed.

Dynamical density-matrix renormalization group
The dynamical density-matrix renormalization group (DDMRG) method is a numerical technique for calculating the zero-temperature dynamical properties in low-dimensional quantum many-body systems. For the onedimensional Hubbard model and its extensions, DDMRG allows for accurate calculations of these properties for lattices with hundreds of sites and particles and for any excitation energy. The k...
متن کاملGround-state dynamical correlation functions: An approach using the density-matrix renormalization-group method.
A numerical approach to ground-state dynamical correlation functions from the density-matrix renormalization group ~DMRG! is developed. Using sum rules, moments of a dynamic correlation function can be calculated with DMRG, and with the moments the dynamical correlation function can be obtained by the maximum entropy method. We apply this method to a one-dimensional spinless fermion system, whi...
متن کاملAnalytic response theory for the density matrix renormalization group.
We propose an analytic response theory for the density matrix renormalization group, whereby response properties correspond to analytic derivatives of density matrix renormalization group observables with respect to the applied perturbations. Both static and frequency-dependent response theories are formulated and implemented. We evaluate our pilot implementation by calculating static and frequ...
متن کاملA numerical renormalization group approach for calculating the spectrum of a vibronic system occurring in molecules or impurities in insulators
Theoretically, in order to describe the behavior of a spectrum, a mathematical model whichcould predict the spectrum characteristics is needed. Since in this study a Two-state system has beenused like models which was introduced previously past and could couple with the environment, theformer ideas have been extended in this study. we use the second quantized version for writing thisHamiltonian...
متن کاملDensity matrix renormalization group with efficient dynamical electron correlation through range separation.
We present a new hybrid multiconfigurational method based on the concept of range-separation that combines the density matrix renormalization group approach with density functional theory. This new method is designed for the simultaneous description of dynamical and static electron-correlation effects in multiconfigurational electronic structure problems.
